History of Apex Bangladesh

July 19, 1961, is indelibly etched in the history of Apex in Bangladesh. It was on this day that the first Apex club was formed in the South Asian country. The late Suleman Khan is the man credited with introducing Apex to Bangladesh. The community organization has flourished from humble beginnings and now boasts 79 chartered clubs and fiver unchartered clubs. History shows that during a visit to East Pakistan, Mr. Khan talked about the concept of Apex with some of his close friends in Dhaka . In turn, a meeting was arranged at the Hotel Shahbag (at present BSMMU), Dhaka on July 19, 1961. Apexian advocate Ahmedur Rahman Khan was the chairman. Thirty-six young men attended the meeting. A member of the Karachi Apex Club, Mr Mashi Miraza was the Chief Guest. By meeting's end, the Apex Club of Dhaka had been formed, with Ahmedur Rahman Khan the President and Syed A K Mahmudul Haque Secretary.

National President of Apex Bangladesh Apxn. Chandan Das was born January 07, 1971 in a respectable family at Chalibondor Moholla in Sylhet City Corporation area.
He started his Apex life in 1998 by joining in Apex Club of Sanctum Sylhet. He held almost all important posts of Club level including club Secretary 2001, Senior vice President 2002, Club President 2003.
In District level Apxn Chandan Das was the District Governor-04 for the year 2005, Chairman, Joint Changeover Committee 2004.
